My stepmom walks into our bedroom one evening while I’m watching TV alone after my dad is out late for work again because he has too much drinking issues lately that cause problems both professionally & personally. So when she sees how bored or frustrated I am just sitting there staring blankly ahead of myself thinking about schoolwork/grades etc. all day long during these times; so decides instead off-limits topics such as “what can we cook together tonight?” Or maybe something more appealing later which involves taking care of herself since most probably nobody really cares enough anymore except by chance meeting eachother occasionally here n’there outside home.
